On the northwest of the island the villages of Marmari and
Tigkaki have the most organized beaches of Kos, further to the
west located Mastichari where you can catch the boat to
Kalymnos.
In the southwest you will find the picturesque villages of
Zipari, Pyli, Zia and Kardamena with its popular beach. From
Kardamena you can catch the boat to Nisyros.
The village of Pyli built in a green plain, with beautiful stone
houses, cafes and restaurants while from the mountain village of
Zia you can admire wonderful sunsets.
Approximately 17miles from the town of Kos is Antimahia with its
impressive Castle and a traditional windmill . Northwest of
Antimahia is the seaside hamlet of Mastichari, which has
beautiful beaches. At the western end of the island located the
picturesque village of Kefalos overlooking the beach of Kamari.
South of Kos, five settlements, Evangelistria, Agios
Demetrios, Asomatoi, Zia and Lagoudi form the
village of Asfendiou with traditional houses with yards
full of flowers.
