A message from KOS

KOS would like to thank you our audience for making Disney's Beauty and the Beast a very special performance for the Society. As an Amateur premier we are proud to bring a show of such excitement, spectacle and certainly one of the most appreciated by you our audience and supporters.

Here are just a few of the kind comments;

"Many thanks for inviting me to your production of "Beauty and the Beast" last Wednesday 11th May which Denis and I thoroughly enjoyed. As I said to the cast on stage afterwards, it had a 'magical' quality which I shall long remember, due in no small way to your director, Ray Jeffery. Please offer my congratulations to Ray, your MD, Choreographer and all the Production Team on an excellent show and I know there were a few tiny mishaps, but I feel sure they were ironed out by the following night. It certainly did not mar our enjoyment and I would like to congratulate each and every member of the talented cast on a great show. Both Belle and the Beast excelled in their respective roles, as did the 'servants' - Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts and her adorable Chip, Babette and Madame de la Grande Bouche. Gaston made the most of his macho role and was well-matched by Lefou and the kindly Maurice. Great support was upheld by the remaining Principals and Chorus, truly making this a "Show to remember!"
Gerry Branton (President of Noda)

"Your society had a great production on its hands last week and I trust the remaining performances were enjoyed by audience and cast alike as much as Wednesday night's was. I can endorse every comment made by the Mayor and the NODA President."
Rupert Sharp (Representative of Josef Weinberger the show right holders)

"Hello Mike and just a brief line to thank you for inviting me to your production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast yesterday evening. As I said to you after the show, it was a great advertisement for amateur theatre, and you and all the KOS team should be proud of what you have achieved. I wish you continuing success for the rest of this week’s run, and the years ahead.

Incidentally, as far as I know, it was a ’first’ yesterday to have the NODA National President, Chairman, Chief Executive, and Regional Councillor all attend the same performance by a NODA society together!"

Tony Gibbs (Chief Executive of NODA)

"Hi Mike, as I am off early in the morning, I thought I would get this message to you before I go. Many thanks for including me in the guest list for the show. It was a joy to be there and to witness such a spectacle. I think I said to you what my feelings about the show were and now congratulate the entire company on their significant achievement. One just realises how much of a team effort is required to get a production of this calibre onstage! I do hope your audiences turned up and that your financial success comes close to matching that of your artistic success!"
Eric Smart (Chairman of NODA)

"what a great cast and crew this year from front of house , backstage, and on stage, we really enjoyed ourselves,"
Martin Wall (Stanair show sponsor)

"We saw Beauty and the Beast on Sunday at 1pm. Absolutely fantastic. We could have been in the West End. First heard about the show on Radio Northampton and thought we would bring our 2 daughters aged 3 and 7 along. They loved it. The costumes and scenery were stunning. The actors first rate. I couldn't believe it was by an 'amateur' company. Thank you and we will be back to see the next show."
Sarah Hart (Member of Sunday afternoons audience)

A truly memorable show, KOS are already planning the next production which will take place late April next year: an all time great of "Fiddler on the roof". If you are interested in joining us in the show or would consider sponsoring a performance (some of which are already sponsored) please contact us via our website and we will be happy to give you further information.
