Letter received following production of Annie Get Your Gun
|
|
This letter was printed by the Evening Telegraph...
Thanks for a Great Show
My wife and I, along with a group of friends, were invited to attend a performance of Annie Get Your Gun at the McKinlay Theatre in Kettering.
I thank the Kettering Operatic Society for such a brilliant show and congratulate them on a truly memorable evening. Not only was the cast extremely competent, but also they performed so well together and drew the audience into the plot and land of make believe engrossingly.
A large sum of money was raised by a group of Wooden Spooners, the charity arm of British Rugby, towards their gruelling 2005 Alpine Challenge in July.
I was saddened to learn that the only theatre in Kettering currently has to be closed to make way for new developments; I sincerely hope a new home is found to allow wonderful performances of this nature to continue.
